The First Ever Costal Blogger Round-up is Going Down!!!

Thanks to Lauren Rains at Mad to Live for all her help with this, and also Greg Rollett of Living Radically Ambitious as well…

We wanted to set up a cool event for like-minded people to meet up, hang out, share knowledge, network, and have a great experience all day!  For aspiring or already entrepreneurs, internet marketers, and bloggers alike, we will be able to spend a day in the sun, and a night full of fun.

All while at the same time sharing each other’s experiences and expertise.  So come willing to share and wanting to learn more, and you will leave with new insights and a group of awesome people to add to your rolodex.

There will be a few events so feel free come and go as you please.  I only need to hear RSVP’s for people interested in the night-time event…  

Here is the Itinerary of the events taking place August 5-6th during the first ever Coastal Blogger Round-up!

August 5, 2011

“Bloggers on the Beach”

Time:  8am-2pm (come as you please, but traffic could be crazy)  

Place:  Cherie Down Park, Cape Canaveral (At 8am we will start in the picnic area between the parking lot and the sand…)

What To Bring:  Anything you normally would to a beach!  Sun block, bathing suit, towel, and any food and drink you want for yourself or to share…

What’s Going On:  First off, there is a rocket launch scheduled at 11:30am (so be careful of traffic, that is why 8am is the start time). Being on the space coast, we will be at the closest accessible beach to the launch.  So to stick with the theme, for anyone who comes between 8-10am after getting to know each-other, we can focus a discussion on “creative launch strategies” that work!  

There will also be some surf boards provided (bring another if you’d like), and free lessons of course! This is time to beach it, meet some cool people, and learn a few things you didn’t already.

“Internet Marketers at Millikens Reef”

Time:  4pm – 6:30pm

Place:  Millikens Reef, Port Canaveral

What to Bring:  Comfy clothes, any awesome friends, and your best party face!

What’s Going On:  At Millikens you can order a full meal, have an appetizer, or just drink your face off (if that’s your style…)  Its a real cool atmosphere, and there are plenty of areas to even sit down and do some formal networking.  Or you can feel free to just go crazy!

“Night Shark Fishing Expedition for Entrepreneurs”

Time:  7pm-late?

Place:  Miss Cape Canaveral, Port Canaveral (It is right next to Millikens, so we will just walk to the boat after happy hour)

What to Bring:  Yourself, anyone you were with at Millikens, and the willingness to catch a shark!  (and $30 bucks for admission)

What’s Going On:  We will be fishing for sharks on a charter boat that fits 100 people…  Everyone is provided with 2 free beers for their ticket, after that I hear it’s still cheap.  By this time we should all be at our “loosest,” so I am expecting some awesome conversation, as well as adventurous encounters with sharks!

“Breakfast at Bald Strawberry”

Time:  10am-whenever…  

Place: The Bald Strawberry  

What to Bring:  A hungry, (hopefully not hung-over) belly and your mind.

What’s Going On:  We will be munching on pastries, breakfast pizza, sipping coffee and getting into some deep discussion about creating a thriving online audience.

That wraps up the First Ever Coastal Bloggers Round-up!

For anyone interested in attending all of the events, and needs to stay in the Cape Canaveral area… I have already used Kayak to check rates for the night of August 5th, and I found anything from $40 a few miles away to $60 right down the block.  Of course you could also use your points or your big internet bucks to put yourself up in style if you please…
